Out of team Harbhajan Singh gets inked, gets a 'faith' tattoo

New Delhi: Guess who has joined the tattoo club of celebs? It's none other than Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh!
Harbhajan has been out of favor of selectors and is struggling hard to make it back to the national side.
"Guys, look at my first ever tattoo," tweeted Bhajji on Wednesday.
Being an ardently religious and spiritual man, Bhajji has gone for a "faith" tattoo.
With his tattoo design, Bhajji has now joined the ranks of stylish players like Beckham, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, who have been flaunting their tattoos with panache.
And if Bhajji's tattoo has spiritual undertones, it is not really surprising!
After his close shave with nature's fury in Uttarakhand disaster, where he was stuck during his pilgrimage, Bhajji's love for the Almighty and his faith is truly understandable!
Or may the tattoo could have men that Harbhajan has faith that some day he will make a comeback to international cricket.

Rear view: TV presenter wields tennis racquet, flashes backside!

London: What happens when a television presenter decides to test her Tennis skills? Nothing much, you would say. The One Show's Alex Jones probably thought the same on Monday afternoon, when she took to court towards the end of the community event . Except that, she did so in her short floral dress.
What followed instead was her dress revealing a lot more than she would have anticipated, as the 36-year old Welsh ended up flashing her derriere.
Judging by Jones' Twitter account, it seems that she was expecting to be provided with appropriate clothing upon her arrival at the Black Prince Community Hub.
“On the way to interview Andy Murray. A 1930s tennis outfit awaits me....???!” she had tweeted prior to the malfunction.
The community event came at the end of a marathon 24 hours for Murray, who became the first British man to lift the Wimbledon trophy in 77 years.
Murray defeated Novak Djokovic of Serbia in three sets to script history.

Sania Mirza auctions autographed racquet to help PETA

New Delhi:  Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has donated an autographed racquet to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for auction, the proceeds from which will help provide relief to 'working animals'.
The racquet is being auctioned on the website eBay.in and the proceeds will go to 'Animal Rahat' which is supported by PETA India.
"The funds we raise from auctioning my tennis racquet will provide comfort to horses forced to pull heavy carts, bullocks who work in sugar mills and donkeys who are forced to labour in the brick kilns," Mirza said.
Mirza was the first Indian to win a Women's Tennis Association Tour title of any kind in the 2009 Australian Open. She also won the 2012 French Open in mixed doubles to claim her second Grand Slam title.
Animal Rahat was founded in 2003 to give relief to horses, bullocks, donkeys and other animals who are forced to work. This programme offers services throughout three districts in Maharashtra and is run by a staff that includes veterinarians, veterinary assistants, animal caretakers and a full-time community educator.
Some of the group's accomplishments include conducting vaccination camps, stopping cruel bullock races, enlisting the help of local police stations in averting animal abuse and confiscating countless whips, nose ropes, barbed-wire goads, horn paring equipment and other cruel devices that add misery to working animals' lives.
It is run by a staff that includes veterinarians, veterinary assistants, animal caretakers and a full-time community educator.

Former England captain Andrew Strauss embarks on new innings

Sports Desk: Quite used to face the fearsome fast bowlers first-up with dead bat, former English skipper was not much different on Wednesday, as the classical left-handed batsman refrained from taking sides on his debut as a TV commentator on Wednesday.
A veteran of 100 Test matches, Strauss became a rookie all over again, as he took his seat beside the seasoned David Lloyd, better known as ‘Bumble.’
Unlike former Test cricketers whose broadcasting style could not be further removed from the way they played the game- Geoffrey Boycott being a classic case in point- Strauss stuck to his guns, being the gentleman he is known to be.
Behind the microphone, Strauss enjoyed himself in a safe, understated way.
It’s not very long since Alastair Cook and Co were his team-mates, but Strauss managed not to refer to them by first names and nicknames, neither did he quite lambast them for poor decision-making.
When Matt Prior got out to what in the circumstances - 180 for five - was a poor shot, Strauss preferred to credit Siddle's bowling.
Painstaking in his avoidance of anything that may offend, the closest Strauss came to offering criticism was Ian Bell stumbling into 'the corridor of uncertainty' was the closest he came.
Just like Andy Flower with opening partnerships, Strauss's new paymasters must decide who he works with best. His main shifts on Wednesday were with Bumble and Michael Holding, which in a way did him no favours.

Murraymania: Fan gets Andy Murray’s face tattooed on his bum!

Sports Desk: While crazy fans are known to go extra yards to express their fanaticism for their sporting idols, Hereford’s Will Hirons went a bit further recently- he got Wimbledon 2013 winner Andy Murray’s face tattooed on his backside!
Will Hirons tweeted Murray on Friday saying if the British No 1 won Wimbledon he would have his face and the date the title was won tattooed on his posterior - a bet the 27-year-old made with his friends.
After Murray became the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years by beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets, Hirons tweeted, “@andy_murray what a tennis player, your face will be tattooed on my ass.”
“I'm a man of my word,” Hirons tweeted.
“It's a reminder of a proud moment. My girlfriend thinks I am a prat,” he added.
Hirons is not the first fan to come a cropper when making a sporting bet.
Manchester City supporter Rodney Ward saw red after having to honour a drink-induced bet by getting a tattoo of arch rivals Manchester United's badge etched on his chest.
The 24-year-old and life-long Blue wagered Reds fan Paul Madden in the pub at the beginning of the football season that City - who won the FA Cup - would be finish top of the Premier League.
Englishman John Adams' words came back to haunt him in 2012 when Wales won the Grand Slam.
The 22-year-old was so sure Wales would not win the Six Nations he bet friends if they won every game he would get a tattoo with the words: Wales Grand Slam Champions 2012.
After Wales stormed to victory, he kept his word and had the red feathers of the Welsh Rugby Union put on him.

Meet Football’s hottest couple: Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero

According to reports out of Spain, national team and Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas is about to become a father, with long-time girlfriend Sara Carbonero expecting a child in December or early 2014.
Iker and Sara are football’s most sought after couple.
Casillas is one of the most famous athletes in Spain, but Carbonero is one of the nation’s best known television presenters and journalists, her coverage of World Cup 2010 receiving extra attention because of her relationship with Casillas.

Sara Carbonero is a Spanish TV presenter for Telecinco and sports journalist.

Since 2009, Casillas has been in a relationship with sports journalist Sara Carbonero. In July 2013, Casillas confirmed that he and his partner Sara would become parents for the first time.

Sara stays on the field to cover football matches while Iker plays.

The couple is like the Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni of world football.

During the 2010 FIFA World Cup it was alleged that Carbonero, reporting during the match between Spain and Switzerland, had distracted Casillas, causing the unexpected Swiss victory.

The allegations were made in the English press, originally by Graham Keeley of The Times and later repeated by several other English newspapers, prompting the Madrid-based Spanish newspapers El Mundo, El País and the popular sports daily Marca to all run articles suggesting that the claims were preposterous and untrue.

Questions were also raised about her journalistic integrity after she undertook to interview her boyfriend Casillas after the match.

After losing the match to Switzerland, Spain were in a tight spot and had to win both their matches to make it to the next rounds.

Spain both the remaining games and made it to the finals thanks to Iker’s superb keeping.

Spain beat Netherlands in the finals to win the World cup  2010.

As Spain created history by winning the FIFA World Cup 2010 title, let's have a look at their way of celebrating victory, kiss way....  After defeating the Netherlands, Iker Casillas, Captain of Spain quickly exchanged a celebration with his reporter girlfriend Sara Carbonero as the pair began to kiss in front of the camera.

On 6 July 2013, it has been announced that Sara and her long term boyfriend Iker Casillas would become parents for the first time. Sara is believed to be 13 weeks pregnant.

'I caught Martina Hingis having s*x in hotel room'

Swiss tennis star Martina Hingis's entry into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in the US this weekend is being overshadowed by a media storm over her off-court infidelities.
Her estranged husband has broken his silence about their marriage.
Thibault Hutin, 26, a French equestrian, married the 32-year-old Hingis in Paris in December 2010 but quickly discovered Hingis wasn't only playing doubles with him.
Hutin, who was 24 when he married the then-30-year-old Hingis, says he believes Hingis is a serial adulteress.

'Martina has a very personal conception of morality,' he told a newspaper.
'She has always been like that; I think she has always been unfaithful to her boyfriends.'
"A year after the wedding . . . we were supposed to meet in New York and I wanted to giver her a surprise,"  said Hutin.
"Upon arriving at the hotel room it was me that was surprised," Hutin said.
On Monday, Schweizer Illustrierten magazine reported an announcement by Hingis that she and her husband had been separated since the beginning of the year.

Hingis is now reported to be in a relationship with David Tosas Ros, a Spanish sports management executive. The pair were spotted sitting together at Roland Garros.
Hutin said: "They shared the hotel room there and they paraded themselves in public at the in the Bois de Boulogne. There are even pictures of them. You can imagine how painful it was for me.”

Dubbed “the little princess of Trübbach”, the fresh-faced player's clean-cut image took a knock in 2007 after testing positive for cocaine during the Wimbledon tournament.
She denied using the drug but did not contest a ban imposed by the International Tennis Federation.
The US Tennis Hall of Fame is due to recognise the Slovakian-born former professional player for her five Grand Slam titles

Martina kept the world number one ranking for 209 weeks, winning three straight Australian Opens, one Wimbledon title and one US Open between 1997 and 1999.
She also held the world number-one doubles ranking for 35 weeks, making her one of just five women in history to have been the world number-one in singles and doubles simultaneously, the Hall of Fame noted.
Hingis' representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
