Each international century that he has scored thus far, Shikhar Dhawan has breached one record or other.
His 187 on Test debut is the fastest by any batsman to have ever played the game, in addition to it being the highest debut score by an Indian.
On June 6, 2013 in Cardiff, he completed his century in less than hundred balls, becoming only the second Indian to score debut Test and One Day hundreds at a strike rate of over 100 percent.
The other Indian to have done this is Sunil Gavaskar.
